Accused woman arrested found hiding in a wooden box

Luck ran out on a woman facing defalcation charge when she was caught hiding in a box in her house by the police during a four-hour search.
Kaimur superintendent of police Sunil Kumar Naik told said the woman faced charges of defalcation of Rs 2.25 crore and the police had gone in search of her at her home.
As the door was bolted from inside, police entered the house through a window and searched for the woman who could not be found during the four-hour search, he said.
Her fate came when the police by chance opened the wooden box packed with clothes and on removing them found her hiding in it, the officer said.
The woman owns a rice mill and had defalcated Rs 2.25 crore by not paying to farmers after procuring paddy and a case was registered with the police against her.
She woman was sent to jail after she was produced before a Chief Judicial Magistrate, the SP added.
