91-year-old Achuthanandan had boycotted the three-day conference held at Alappuzha last week and walked out on the opening day on Feb 21.
He had said that a state secretariat resolution which termed him as an anti-party activist still exists which prompted him to keep away from the meet.
Achuthanandan previously pointed out serious flaws in the conduct of the state unit under his arch rival and the former state secretary Vijayan in a dissenting note to the central leadership on the eve of party state conference.
The Opposition leader in the Kerala assembly, Achuthanandan, who chose to keep away from today's meeting with an anticipation that party politburo scheduled to meet on March 21 and 22, would address his grievances and freeze the remark against him.
Although he was not a member of the newly constituted state committee but as a member of party Central Committee, he can attend the state committee meeting.
