Action against head misterss for issuing TC to students

Departmental action has been taken against head mistress of a Government Higher Secondary School in the district for issuing Transfer Certificate to some boys who were performing well, before the commence of the public examination in order to show 100 per cent result.
According to Chief Education officer Pughazhendi, the students who had been issued TC had been recalled to the school and they would be given special coaching to enable them perform well in the examination.
Two students had already joined the school and others had been called back to the school.
"Schools cannot issue TC to students or take any other step that will bar them from writing the examination in order to show cent per cent result. Severe action would be taken against the school head who barred the students from writing the public examination."
Three students who had been issued TC at S Ammapatti school had gone for mills and farms for works.
When contacted, they had expressed their wish to write the examination. They would also be admitted to the school and special classes would be held for them, officials said.
