Member of Legislative Council from Konkan, Niranjan Davkhare today said legal action should be taken against the school here, which abruptly cancelled admission of 27 students in kindergarten.
The school, Holy Cross Convent Girls School cancelled admission of 27 students in May, who were admitted in March for the current academic session.
After protest by the parents in the last two months, seven girls, of the 27, were re-admitted last week.
Davkhare said he also took up the matter with the state education department and held a meeting, but nothing concrete came out as the school furnished information to the department that they do not have seats to accommodate the students.
"Efforts are being taken to resolve the matter and the remaining children are being tried to be accommodated in nearby schools and we will ensure legal action is taken against the school," he said.
