Activist joins PDP

Aijaz Ahmad Mir, a young activist from Zainapora area in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir, today joined the Opposition Peoples Democratic Party along with his supporters.
Announcing the joining of Mir into the party fold, a PDP spokesman said he is son of former MLA from Wachi in Shopian, Mohammad Jabbar Mir, adding that a lawyer by training, Mir has been active in political and social field in the area.
Mir was welcomed into the party fold by PDP president Mehbooba Mufti, he said.
