The activists have joined hands under the umbrella of Bangladesh-Bharat-Pakistan People's Forum (BBPPF).
"The India chapter of BBPPF aims at bringing like minded people together and finding ways to bridge the gap in these nations," its chairman Debabrata Biswas said here today.
"Leaders of various political parties, Members of Parliament, academicians, social and cultural activists from the three countries will attend the national conference," Biswas said.
Putting emphasis on the common culture and history shared by the three countries, Moinuddin Khan Badal, who is an MP from Bangladesh, said BBPPF's objective is to provide a platform where citizens can freely interact with people from across the border.
"Common people want unity, we are asking the governments to give them a chance and see how it works", said Badal who is also the General Secratary of BBPPF tri-national committee.
Advocating an easier visa regime, he said the government should give SAARC visa to common people so that they can visit neighbouring countries easily.
