Actor, dancer Alphonsa's bail plea adjourned by a week

Madras High Court has adjourned to next week the anticipatory bail plea of actor and dancer Alphonsa, who feared arrest following a police complaint filed by a woman against her own husband.
Justice M M Sudresh adjourned the petition by a week.
Sumitra, wife of one Jaishanker, had lodged a police complaint against her husband after seeing his Facebook page which said Alphonsa was his wife.
Sumitra in her complaint to Saidapet All Women Police Station said that she was married to Jaishankar on July 10 2013.
Sumitra in her complaint stated that she along with her husband went to Dubai where he was working. She alleged that her husband after spending only one day with her, had disappeared.

Fearing the loneliness in that country, she flew back to India. After seeing in the Facebook page of her husband which said Alphonsa was his wife, she made a police complaint seeking to take action against her husband.
Alphonsa submitted that she feared arrest in connection with the police complaint by Sumitra and is seeking anticipatory bail plea.
