The owner of the video shop was taken into custody for interrogation based on a complaint from the actor, police said today.
Vishaal, who has been camping in Pollachi for a film shoot, had sent two of his assistants as decoy customers to the shop last night asking for CDs of new films, particularly Tamil films.
The shop owner showed them the CDs of 'Poojai' and 'Katthi', starring another popular actor Vijay, which were released only a week ago.
The actor had 'raided' a video shop in Tirupur earlier this week and "seized" the pirated CDs of his new movie, police said.
