Actors to play cricket match to generate funds for Telangana

Telugu and Tamil movie actors will face each other in a cricket match, scheduled to be organised here on June 21, to support welfare programmes implemented by the Telangana state government.
A delegation led by Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce president Prathani Ramakrishna Goud met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao here and informed its plans to conduct the match, a release issued by the Telangana Chief Minister's Office said.
About Rs 10 crore to Rs 12 crore is expected to be generated by the event, the release said.
The Telangana Chief Minister is expected to inaugurate the match, while state infotech minister and Rao's son K T Rama Rao is set to attend the prize distribution ceremony, the release said.
