The accused officer, Kajodmal Dudia, had demanded the bribe of Rs 75 lakh from one Pawan Goyal in a matter related to a land-allotment, an official spokesperson said.
He took Rs four lakh a month ago at the time of the verification of the complaint and was trapped when he was accepting Rs five lakh in Hanumangarh, he said.
After the trap, searches were conducted at his two houses, one in Hanumangarh and the other in Bikaner in which the team recovered Rs 64.5 lakh in cash (unaccounted), jewellery worth Rs 10 lakh and documents of a plot located in Jaipur.
