Adequate funds will be provided to departments: Pondy govt

Puducherry government today said that adequate funds would be provided to various government departments, where workers were facing difficulty in drawing salaries regularly.
PWD Minister A Namassivayam stated this in the assembly in reply to a statement by DMK member Siva, pointing out the harships faced by those working in government departments on daily wage basis and temporary category.
The member alleged that the main reason for this was delay in disbursement of wages to the employees for several months citing "critical fiscal position of the government.
