The top cop, meanwhile, has dismissed the reports in this regard as "baseless."
"I have no complaint against anyone in this regard. It is upto the DGP to find out if there was a protocol violation and not me," the minister told reporters today at Kochi.
ADGP (in charge of special services and traffic) remained seated on the podium when Chennithala arrived to attend the function at the Police Academy in Thrissur yesterday even as other police officers stood up and saluted the minister.
The officer later said that the minister had entered through the back side of the venue because of which he failed to notice.
