He said that "restricting the independent traditions of Hanuman Garhi is not justified in any way."

On November 8, a division bench of Allahabad High Court, expressing serious concern over various litigations pertaining to management and properties of the temple, has asked the UP government to appoint a senior bureaucrat as an administrator of the temple.

However, the chief priest of the temple, Mahant Gyan Das, reacting over VHP's reaction said that "we do not need any assistance of communal forces in any of the business of Hanuman Garhi."

"These VHP leaders are trying to flare up the atmosphere of the temple town by taking the court's decision on communal lines," the priest said.
