The three racketeers, who have been arrested in this connection include a student of the prominent South Delhi College.
Forged documents, laptop, printer and a stamp of Government Hospital have also been recovered.
"On Monday, information was received that kingpin of a gang involved in getting students admitted to a prestigious South Delhi College of Delhi University on the basis of forged documents would come to Dwarka in a Ford Endeavour. A trap was laid and Arvind Yadav (28), a resident of Gurgaon, Haryana was apprehended," said Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ashok Chand.
During interrogation, Yadav disclosed that after completing his graduation from a college in Delhi University, he had set up a transport business. However, the earnings from his business were not enough to sustain his lavish life style.

Being a former DU student, he was aware about the loopholes in the admission process and decided to exploit it. He roped in Daya Ram (36) a resident of Bulandsahar, UP, who arranged forged documents including educational certificates.
This included the admission of one of their associate Mukesh Mann (19), a resident of Gurgaon, Haryana who had even failed his 10+2 examination in 2013.
"Yadav procured forged mark sheets, caste certificates, transfer certificates, character certificates with help of Daya Ram and secured admission for Mukesh Mann in college. Mann is presently a second year student of the same college," said Chand.
In the year 2014, the racketeers had got at least 10 students on the basis of forged mark sheets, caste certificates, transfer certificates, character certificate and physical disability certificates in the prestigious college.
A laptop and printer have also been recovered. The racketeers used to charge Rs three to five lakh from the prospective students for getting them admission in the prestigious South Delhi College of Delhi University, police said.
