Delivering her speech at the 4th Youth Festival of Kohan University at Karim City College premises here, Murmu said adolescence phase of a youth was very important as it builds the structure of his future.
Youths in their adolescence phase are inclined toward different field, she said adding that while some youths inclined towards music during his adolescence stage, some other towards computer, engineering, medical, administrative field or to serve the society.
After passing out from university, she said every students possessed similar degree but opt for different field based on their efficiency and ability.
Murmu advised the students not to be disappointed with failure but to focus more on reasons behind the failure and rectify it.
Later, speaking at the Disom Baha Bonga Mahotsav of the tribal community at Adeldih in Kowali in East Singhbhum district, the Governor called on the people to work in unison to protect Jal, Jungle, Jameen (water, forest and land), which was shrinking with increasing population.
Describing adivasis as protector of forest, she said it was they who have been continuously striving to preserve it.
She, however, stressed the need for education for the development of the tribal society.
BJP MP Bidyut Baran Mahato and Potka MLA (BJP) Menka Sardar were also present on the occasion.
