He was addressing a scholarship distribution function today at ITM University here, sources said, adding that he also gave fee concession certificates to more than 200 students.
While greeting the meritorious students the Governor said, "I hope that they would contribute significantly towards the economic and cultural growth of Haryana and the country in the near future."
"In today's global economy, a country's competitiveness depends on its citizens' capacity to use knowledge and technology to create innovative products and devices for the benefit of the society and mankind in general," the Governor said.
CEOs of Fortune 500 companies believed that to compete in the global market, they need college graduates who were good in mathematics, science & engineering subjects, Pahadia said.
He said, "Creatively empowered individuals would become entrepreneurs and will create new jobs."
