Advances in science should be used to benefit common man

Director of JIPMER Dr S C Parija today asked medical professionals and medical colleges to ensure that the knowledge and skill gained through advances in science and technology benefited the common man.
He was inaugurating the three-day 27th annual conference of Association of Southern Regional Urologists, organised by Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute of the Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth here.
He said advances in medical technology had been taking place stupendously and the benefits of such advances and skill and knowledge should benefit common man.
He also released a souvenir of the conference on the occasion.
Dr Rajeev Sood, president of Urological Society of India, Dr A Moha, President of the Association of Southern Urologists, Dr Prasanth Rajagopalan, Vice Chairman of the Sri Balaji Educational and Charitable Public Trust, and acting Vice Chancellor of the Vidyapeeth Dr N.Ananthakrishnan were among those who spoke.
