Advani, Alok enter semis of MCC Kumbhat 6-Red tournament

India's Cuesport King Pankaj Advani had a smooth run to set up a semi-final clash with giant-killer Shivam Arora of Maharashtra, while Alok Kumar also made it to the last-four of the MCC Kumbhat 6-Red Invitation tournament here today.
Top cueists from Petroleum Sports Control Board scored identical 5-1 wins over Brijesh Damani and Manan Chandra in the quarterfinals.
Alok was at his best today as an off colour Manan drew blank in the first, third and the sixth frames, while Arora, who has not a game so far in the tournament kept up the momentum to get the better of Kamal Chawla at 5-2.
After the semis matches in the morning, the final is slated for tomorrow evening.
Results: Alok Kumar beat Manan Chandra 5-1, (0-52, 47-19, 47-0, 39-27, 49-21, 37-0), Pankaj Advani beat Brijesh Damani 5-1, (43-9, 1-35,67-0,34-16, 60-12, 31-23), Shivam Arora beat Kamal Chawla 5-2, (50-0, 0-65, 30-24, 1-37, 41-0, 49-0, 47-0 and Luky Vatnani beat Dharmendra Lilly 5-1, 0-46, 44-12, 55-8,39-1, 39-0, 51-6.
