Advani, Kothari to play in World 6-Red Snooker

Reigning national snooker and billiards champions Pankaj Advani and Sourav Kothari will take part in the World 6-Red Championships to be held this month in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
While eight-time IBSF world billiards titlist Advani would take part in the team championship, Kothari would be fielded in the individual championship, as per the men's and women's teams selected by the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India.
The championship would be held from June 18- 29.
The squads: For Team Championship:
Men: Pankaj Advani and Brijesh Damani.
Women: Vidya Pillai and Amee Kamani.

Individual: Men's: Sourav Kothari and Kamal Chawla.
Women: Neena Praveen and R Umadevi.
Subash Agrawal will be the coach for the team championships, while Derek Sippy will perform the job for the individual events.
Earlier, Sanjay Sawant who was to be the coach for the team event, has withdrawn for personal reasons, Sippy told PTI. Asked why the BSFI website showed additional names in the team list, he said all others - barring the no. 1 and 2 in the rankings - were bearing their own expenses after India had been given more entries.
"The expenses of the official team, comprising players ranked in the two, are borne by SAI (Sports Authority of India)," he said.
