The recently launched India chapter of adventure magazine "The Outdoor Journal," with a focus on the country showcases exotic stories of people who embarked on voyages from the wilderness of the Sahara desert to the desolate Antartic landscapes, from the jungles of Borneo to the giant waves of Hawaii.
The journal hosted its first speaker series here which saw Mt Everest-climber Susan Hunt, Tenzing Norgay National Award-wining mountaineer Mandip Singh Soin and possibly India's first outdoor journalist Apoorva Prasad narrating tales of courage, exploration and adventure dedicated to pushing the limits in their pursuit of an outdoor lifestyle.
"I have gone for numerous desert safaris and forest expeditions...But my personal preference is the mountains. My idea is to discover the world," says the mountaineer who participated in the first speaker series hosted by the journal here recently.
Soin says he feels that he has just begun his foray into adventure-travel. "At the end of July I am leaving for a river-rafting trip for two weeks."
Similarly, for 55 year old Susan Hunt who fulfilled her "dream for ever" to summit Mt Everest, the adventure never stops.
