Advocates lock up magistrate in his chamber

A magistrate was today locked in his chamber by irate advocates who demanded that he be disqualified for allegedly conducting a Lok Adalat with the aid of a lawyer expelled by Tamil Nadu Bar Council.
Advocates locked up magistrate Saravanakumar in his chamber here for allegedly conducting Lok Adalat sitting last week with the help of an advocate who had been disqualified and expelled from the state Bar council.
They raised slogans against the magistrate and demanded his disqualification.
A large number of police personnel have been posted in the court as the situation is tense.
