Advocates continued their indefinite strike for the second day here today demanding the arrest of persons who allegedly had attacked a senior lawyer on Diwali.
Meanwhile, Mathura Bar Association secretary Bhanu Pratap Singh and Sahab Singh Kushwaha started their indefinite fast.
"The strike as well as the indefinite fast would continue till the assailants of senior advocate Puspa Raj Singh are arrested," Singh said.
Singh and Khuswaha were flanked by dozens of advocates shouting slogans against the police since morning in front of police outpost at Civil Lines here.
A delegation of advocates had yesterday met SSP Gulab Singh demanding action against city chief of RLD Shyam Chaturvedi.
The delegation had claimed that on Diwali, Chaturvedi assaulted Puspa Raj Singh in the Dhauli Piau area over leakage of water from an AC.
