This will be Aegis's second development centre in Malaysia and has expanded its workforce in that country to more than 2,000 employees, the company said in a statement.
The increased workforce will help it provide large and mid-sized organisations Customer Management, Finance and Accounting and SMAC enabled BPM solutions, it added.
Aegis had acquired Malaysia-based BPO firm Symphony Assets -- its 19th acquisition -- in March last year to expand footprint in Southeast Asia, China, Korea and Japan.
Aegis is focussing on markets within Asia-Pacific region in the non-voice segment to expand business and footprint after it sold nearly half of its business to the US BPO company, Teleperformance, last year.
In July 2014, Aegis announced sale of its US business - with 19,000 employees in centres across the US, Philippines and Costa Rica -- for USD 610 million.
Aegis retained the rest of its BPO business, which has 37 centres in nine countries and 37,000 employees.
