To be set up in collaboration with the Government of Victoria, the new centre will also help Aegis Services Australia double its total workforce in the region, which currently has around 1,000 people.
The company will also invest up to AUD 4 million (over Rs 21 crore).
The centre will be equipped to provide solutions like business analytics, social media and multi-channel customer experience solutions across customer management, data management, social and digital media engagement, predictive and prescriptive analytics across multiple industries.
It represents another significant step towards a more diversified Victorian economy with strong services industries, Napthine added.
