"Afghan refugees and their mobility is the constant source of crime in the province," Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak said, expressing concern over their unfettered movement in the province.
Khattak, who chaired a high-level meeting here, called upon the federal government to prepare a road map for the rapid repatriation of refugees to their homeland.
"We are in the state of war and the stay of Afghan refugees was an additional burden on the health sector and other infrastructure of the province," he said.
"We admit that law and order situation is our responsibility but the federal government should also have a responsibility to remove all the obstacles hindering better law and order situation in the province," he said.
