In the Delhi assembly polls, many residents of Ghaziabad, Gautambudh Nagar (Noida), Gurgaon, Faridabad, Meerut, and Jaipur played a vital role during electioneering, AAP activists said, adding that these cities fall near Delhi and would surely have an impact of the Delhi outcome.
"We are very sure that party would do better in the seats falling in Delhi-NCR in the General Elections," said senior AAP leader and MLA Manish Sisodia.
"Party supporters have started preparation of the General Elections in Gautam Budh Nagar, comprising Noida and Greater Noida. We would appeal residents to help party win as Delhi's voters have given their support in the Assembly elections," said Anoop Khanna, a Noida-based AAP supporter.
Like Noida, Ghaziabad-based party activists hope that with AAP in the fray the monopoly of Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and BJP in the region would come to an end.
