Delhi BJP today said former NCP MLA Rambir Singh Bidhuri and three siting municipal councillors will join BJP tomorrow in presence of party president Rajnath Singh and other leaders of the party.
Last month DPCC president J P Agarwal had announced that Bidhuri will join Congress but the former NCP legislator did not turn up at a function on Friday organised for induction of popular Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi and four leaders from rival parties into Congress fold.
An embarrassed Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit had said Bidhuri could not come to the function due to traffic jam.
Bidhuri, considered as a strong Jat leader among Jat community, had won elections from Badarpur constituency in 1993 and 2003.
BJP sources said his coming to BJP will improve the party's chances of winning the Jat dominated Badarpur and Tuglakabad assembly constituencies in the upcoming polls.
Bidhuri and three councillors of the NCP will join the BJP tomorrow in the presence of BJP president Rajnath Singh, Delhi BJP said in a statement.
