US-based Polaris Industries Inc is looking to utilise its experience in India to enter into neighbouring markets including Nepal and Bhutan.
"After being here in India for almost three years, we are now looking at various neighbouring countries including Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka," Polaris India Managing Director Pankaj Dubey told PTI.
It is looking to appoint distributors and dealers in the neighbouring markets starting next year, he added.
Polaris, which sells off-road and all terrain vehicles (ATVs) and Indian brand of motorcycles, is present in India through a wholly-owned subsidiary Polaris India.
The company began operations in India in August 2011 and has sold over 700 vehicles so far in the country.
When asked about future growth plans, Dubey said the company is in talks with various government organisations including the Indian Army to sell its vehicles.

"We are in talks with the Indian Army to supply ATVs and snow scooters. Also, a lot of states with coastal areas are showing interest in our vehicles," he said.
Sales to institutions is very less currently but is likely to expand going ahead, he added.
Around 55 per cent of the company's vehicles currently are bought by individuals and rest by institutions and Polaris Experience Zones, Dubey said.
Besides, the company is looking to expand the number of its Polaris Experience Zones (PEZ) in the country.
Polaris today opened its 22nd such zone here.
"We plan to have around 35 such places across the country by the end of this year," Dubey said.
Adventure enthusiasts can ride Polaris vehicles at the PEZs, which are owned by private parties.
