After Jaitley, Rajat Sharma to remain on HHIL advisory board

After completing two successful years, chairman and editor-in-chief of leading hindi news channel India TV, Rajat Sharma will continue to remain on the advisory board of the Hero Hockey India League (HHIL) for next two editions.
Coming on board in the first edition of the HHIL in 2013, Sharma has been seen actively participating and providing proactive recommendations as a member of the advisory board.
Talking about his involvement in the HHIL, Sharma said: "It is a delight to see Hockey India working dedicatedly towards improving and promoting hockey in India and it has been a privilege to be a part of this movement and help Hockey India in its mission to take hockey to all parts of the world.
"Joining hands with Hockey India at the time of the Hockey India League's incubation, I have seen the immense improvement in the game and would like to support the organisation for as long as I can," he added.
HHIL chairman Narinder Batra added: "It is a pleasure to see such enthusiasm towards this sport from such influential individuals supporting a good cause. Rajat Sharma has been an integral part of this board and it gives me much satisfaction to have him supporting this organisation and hockey with his wisdom.
"His support in the first two editions is deeply acknowledged and we look at him continuing in the same vigour in terms of guiding us at crucial juncture."
The third season of HHIL is scheduled to start from January 22 next year.
Union finance and defence minister Arun Jaitley yesterday pledged his support for the league by deciding to remain on the advisory board of the HHIL for the next two editions.
