After rains, high humidity in Delhi

A day after showers, high humidity prevailed in the national capital today causing discomfort to people in the city as mercury rose moderately.
The maximum temperature was recorded four notches below the season's average at 35.9 degrees while the minimum temperature was recorded three notches below the normal at 25.5 degrees, said a MeT department official.
Humidity on the higher side was recorded 88 per cent while on the lower side it settled at 51 per cent.
Yesterday, both the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded seven notches below the season's average at 32.2 and 20.5 degrees Celsius respectively.
The reading of the Safdarjung observatory, considered the official figure for the city, recorded 1 mm rainfall till 8.30 am today while Palam received 0.6 mm, Ridge 0.4 mm and Lodhi road traces of rainfall. The Ayanagar observatory did not record any rainfall.
MeT department has predicted overcast conditions for tomorrow along with very light rains and thunderstorm in some parts of the city.
"The sky will be partly cloudy. One or two spells of very light rain and thunder storm could occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 37 and 25 degrees respectively," said the official.
