The studio in a statement had fired Singer from the film, titled "Bohemian Rhapsody", with actor Rami Malek starring as the legendary singer.
"Bryan Singer is no longer the director of Bohemian Rhapsody," the studio had said.
However, the studio has not named Singer's replacement as yet.
Singer, through his attorney, said the film was a "passion project" and that the studio was "unwilling" to accommodate him, reported Variety.

"This was a very taxing experience, which ultimately took a serious toll on my own health. Unfortunately, the studio was unwilling to accommodate me and terminated my services. This was not my decision and it was beyond my control," said Singer in his statement.
The director also played down the rumours that he clashed with lead actor Rami Malek.
"I wanted nothing more than to be able to finish this project and help honour the legacy of Freddie Mercury and Queen, but Fox would not permit me to do so because I needed to temporarily put my health, and the health of my loved ones, first," he added.
