Agreement signed by Korean and Indian bodies

The agreement was signed by Lee Jong Hong, Director General of Self Governing & Administration Bureau, Gunsan, Korea and Sanjay Sabherwal Dy Chairman of ACMA.

Both the bodies agreed to promote further economic cooperation through three initiatives - enterprise level cooperation through their respective industrial bodies, exchange information through seminars, workshops and any other mutually agreed programmes and joint projects enabling development of technologies and their usage.

A nine member Korean delegation led by Hong paid a two-day visit to Jamshedpur as a follow up to sister city relationship established between Jamshedpur and Gunsan City, Republic of Korea.

The document signed by the Mayor of Gunsan City and the Deputy Commissioner of Singbhum East in 2004 laid a foundation for cultural, education, arts, science and technological ties.
