Deputy Commissioner Cachar Harendra Kumar Devmohanta told PTI that as per the report submitted to him, 3245 loans were sanctioned from among the 5200 agriculture loans sponsored by the department.
The loans will help growth of agriculture, he said.
Meanwhile, Rs one crore each was sanctioned for seven assembly constituencies of the district for development of rural roads, while Dholai reserved (SC) constituency will receive Rs two crore, he said.
The ongoing works were reviewed in a meeting yesterday and instructions issued to all government officials for immediately starting work of the developmental schemes in the rural area.
