He said he has already spoken to Union Finance Minister and if voted to be the MP, he would press for the small and large scale industry to be set up through the central initiative for generation of employment opportunities.
Chhina, who was on the move to address various election meetings in Amritsar (west), Amritsar (east), Amritsar (central) and Amritsar (north) constituencies said that being the border state, Amritsar has its own peculiar challenges and underlined the importance of central grants in changing the fate of the people in the region.
He continued his tirades against the ex-MPs from the region Navjot Singh Sidhu and Capt Amarinder Singh, blaming them for the "neglect" of the constituency.
"One that they were MPs when the governments in Centre were from different parties. Secondly they both failed to raise the voice of the people in the parliament and were busy in their own self-gratifying political moves.

"They failed to attend to the grievances of the people and did not bring any major project of development", said Chhina.
"We need to put in efforts to strengthen rail, air and road network and re-furnish the locations of public attractions for tourism," he said.
He said the pilgrims constitute major portion of the visitors to this holy city and they need to be tapped by providing best of the facilities for their boarding and lodging.
He also promised the voters of liberal central grants for the poor and downtrodden under Swachh Bharat schemes, Prime Minister Rozgar and Sadak Yojna.
He said his priority would be making the city of Amritsar as hub of modern education on the lines of Bangluru, Pune, Ahmadabad and Mohali so that the students need not to go to distant places.
