AgroTech Foods opens new manufacturing unit in Gujarat

AgroTech Foods Ltd today said it has opened its new manufacturing unit the country in Gujarat to start local production of 'Sundrop Peanut Butter'.
Commenting on the announcement, AgroTech Foods Ltd President and CEO Sachin Gopal said: "The commencement of local production of peanut butter at our new facility reinforces AgroTech Foods' commitment to lead the development of the processed foods industry in India and will further enable us to drive the growth of Peanut Butter as a category in India."
The company, which was earlier importing peanut butter, said the new manufacturing facility will serve as an integrated multi category grocery and snacks manufacturing hub for the India market.

The company did not elaborate other products it may manufacture from the plant.
The manufacturing unit located in Jhagadia in Gujarat has been built with an investment of Rs 35 crore.
