The second edition of the event, conceptualised to render a platform to the agricultural products of the state's farmers, will be inaugurated by state panchayat minister Subrata Mukherjee on October 21 at the Milan Mela ground.
Thirty renowned restaurateurs, four government organizations and 23 sweet shops are scheduled to participate and serve food in the five-day festival being organised by the state government at an estimated budget of Rs 4.25 crore.
A special zone has been created where seven stalls will be installed to showcase 'theme food' during the festival.
All four permanent hangers of Milan mela will be utilized as food courts and out of them one will showcase international food.
During the festival, an exhibition hanger, Ahare Biki Kini will 28 stalls has been set up to sell raw food, food ingredients and ready to eat food by government or government-promoted organizations.
Special awards will given to the best innovative recipe and the most popular recipe by judges.
