Earlier also, Air India had been operating a B777 on the Delhi-London route. However, in the 2013 summers, it changed the aircraft to Dreamliner.
The resumption of B777 services are effective from October 30, sources said.
Winter schedule for domestic airlines this year began from October 30 and would last up to the last week of March next year.
The B777 aircraft will be operating on Air India's flight AI-111/112 service, sources said.

This Boeing 787-8 aircraft, which was in operations till the summers had a total of 256 seats in a two-class configuration with 18 seats in business class and the rest 238 in economy.
As against this, the B777-200LR has a total of 238 seats in a three-class configuration. There are eight seats in first class, 35 in business, and remaining 195 in economy.
Air India flies to eighth destinations in Europe. Besides, it is set to launch a flight to Madrid from December 1.
