AIADMK councillor's husband murdered in Madurai

The husband of an AIADMK Councillor in the city corporation was hacked to death by a five-member gang here today, police said.
55-year old Rajendran, husband of councillor Jayalakshmi, was on his way to a tea shop in the morning when the gang attacked him at Venkatachalapuram market area.
Though the local residents rushed him to a hospital, he died on the way.
Police said they suspect Rajendran was murdered to avenge the killing of one of his relatives some years ago allegedly by his relatives.
