"Thought should be given to the present managerial structure in regard to the high command's observers. Managing party affairs in states and changes that are necessary should be made," Karti, an AICC member, told PTI.
His views assume significance coming against the background of allegations by Vasan and his supporters of mishandling affairs in Tamil Nadu by party in charge Mukul Wasnik.
On the differences among several leaders in Tamil Nadu unit in the running party, he said efforts should be made to evolve a consensus on all issues, overcoming differences as it happened in Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee. "Such a consensus should be put forward unitedly to Delhi."
At a time when former Union Minister EVKS Elangovan has just assumed office as president of TNCC, he said a "consultative and collaborative" style of leadership was the best way forward for the party in the State to make it a "more vibrant" unit.
On Vasan's exit, he said,"even if it is an ordinary party worker it will weaken the party especially in the present scenario," apparently referring to the lean phase the party was going through at the national level.
