The charity group said today it had treated 127 rape victims between the ages of 14 to 70 who came forward in the days after the May 1 attack. The victims said they were raped the morning after the attack on the town of Kikamba in the Shabunda region.
The victims told the charity that about 60 armed men looted homes, assaulted men and women and forced 30 children to help them carry off stolen goods.
