AIFF unhappy over training grounds in Goa for Lusofonia Games
Press Trust of India Panaji All India Football Federation Director Anil Kamat, who is also a technical delegate for the Lusofonia Games, has expressed displeasure over the condition of training grounds for the multi-sport event in Goa.
Kamat inspected the four training grounds for the Goa event along with Lusofonia Games Organizing Committee (LUGOC) and found only the Cuncolim ground in good shape.
A lot of work is needed in order to have training for I-League teams and visiting teams of other countries taking part for the Lusofonia Games, he said.
"For an international tournament like the Lusofonia Games, it is important to have equally good training facilities. We don't want teams to be put off," said Kamat.
Lusofonia Games CEO Keshav Chandra admitted that the training venues were not in the best of condition at the moment but is hopeful that all the work will be completed by the end of this month.
