"25-year-old Ravi Atri, who himself is an MBBS student and the mastermind of the gang, was arrested along with two of his accomplices Amarjeet and Nawal, from west Delhi's Shahbad Dairy area on a specific input yesterday," DCP (Outer) B S Jaiswal said.
The gang was about to leak the question paper of the recruitment test for stenographers and clerks in State Bank of India examination with the help of electronic devices, Jaiswal said, adding that the test was scheduled for yesterday.
The trio were intercepted while they were going to Rithala side on the Barwala-Begumpur road on a bike with fake driving license.
Three high-end and 10 other mobile phones were recovered from them.
During interrogation, the three men confessed that they had leaked question papers of competitive examinations earlier and had planned to meet one Chand at the Mount Abu School in Rohini Sector 5 to get the question paper of the SBI recruitment test, police said.
The trio also revealed that they kept fake driving licences to appear as dummy candidates in the examinations to leak the question paper.
Jaiswal said the gang used to provide high end mobile phones to their candidates to scan the question paper, a bluetooth device, a wrist watch-shaped mobile phone and an ear phone with a transmitter stitched to a shirt. (More)
