Industries Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar said the government will make efforts to sign MoUs worth Rs 5 lakh crore with industries during the event.
Replying to a debate on demands for grants (Department of Industries) in the Assembly, the minister said the government was focusing on making a land bank so that industries could be allotted lands easily and instantly to set up their units.
The government presently has a land bank of 3500 hectare and it wants to extend it up to 8000 hectare, he said.
He also informed the House that the work for Delhi Mumbai Industrial corridor was going on and the first phase will be completed by 2017.

Meanwhile, during the debate on demand for grants (Mines), the House witnessed uproarious scenes when Congress MLAs raised the issue of alleged irregularities in mines allotment.
Congress MLA Ramesh Meena said the government's decision to allot mines to certain groups has caused huge loss to the exchequer and party Whip Govind Singh Dotasar demanded a judicial probe in the matter.
The uproar continued for few minutes till the Chairman called the name of another member of the House to speak in the debate for the demand for grants (Mines).
