Air Force Association, Jharkhand branch calls on CM

Air Force Association's Jharkhand branch today called upon Chief Minister Raghubar Das and pinned up 'Jhanda' on the occasion of "Jhanda Divas".
The nation expresses its gratitude for the forces' sacrifice and service to the nation and their bravery, an official release said quoting Das.
On the occasion, jhandas were also pinned up to officials of the chief minister secretariat.
The Air Force Association marks September 8 as Jhanda Divas and from today Jhanda Divas fortnight began, the release said here.
Among those who met the chief minister are; Association Secretary Vinod Kumar, Treasurer Mohan Singh Munda, Anirudh Singh, Kedarnath Prasad and Sergent Rajiv Ranjan Pandey.

The secretary of the association said that in this fortnight the association pins up jhandas to citizens and gets funds, which are used for former Air Force personnel and other welfare works. The chief minister also donated money, the release said.
