On the occasion of the 68th Independence Day, Air India has launched a 'Get Lucky' scheme, under which the national carrier will provide a complimentary domestic travel ticket for every 100th ticket booked on its website.
"The scheme is open to all passengers making Air India bookings online through its website. Under the scheme, every 100th ticket booked will entail a complimentary ticket only for travel within India on a Air India flight. The winners will be notified on the online booking confirmation page," an airline spokesperson said.
In case the web booking was done for a one-way journey the winner would be entitled for a one-way ticket, and in case the booking was for a return or double sector ticket, the winner would get a return ticket on the domestic network.
The complimentary ticket would be valid on direct flights only for six months from the date of issuance of the ticket.
Air India would put up a list of winners on its website by 12 noon on the following day and weekend winners would be notified on Monday.
"This promotional scheme is valid from August 15 to September 30," he said.
