The new flight will operate six days a week, except Wednesdays, and help save considerable amount of time to the passengers from Bengaluru, who now use road transport to reach Puducherry, Air India said in a release.
Air India has deployed an ATR aircraft to ferry the passengers on the new route, it said.
Besides providing convenient connection to passengers from Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad, the new flight will save travellers from Bengaluru from time consuming and arduous journey by surface transport to Puducherry, the release said.
