"I express happiness that an Air wing and a NCC Bn were being proposed to be raised in Srinagar, Kupwara and Udhampur respectively, which would provide new openings to the youth of the state," Lieutenant General R R Nimbhorkar said today.
Nimbhorkar, who visited the special national integration camp being held at NCC Camping Ground Nagrota in Jammu, emphasized the need to conduct more such camps for maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood besides strengthening national integration.
He further praised the significant contribution made by the NCC in grooming the youth of the country.
"The General Officer observed that the strength of NCC has grown over the years, but considering the strength of youth particularly in J&K, more boys and girls needed to be brought under the ambit of the organization", he added.
