"It is like business as usual for us and there is no impact due to reported amalgamation talks with RCom. We are looking at similar growth as last year in new customer base during the current fiscal," Aircel regional manager (east) Anil Gupta said today.
He said in 2015, the company in Kolkata circle had received 22 per cent growth in customer base.
Aircel was also focusing on data revenue and with new plan it was expecting an incremental rise in revenue by 10-15 per cent, Gupta said.
Asked about proposed launch of Reliance Jio, Gupta said they have not yet launched their service and they are keeping their strategy close to their heart.
Aircel said its call drop levels were much lower than government limits and continuously adding new sites and in the current year 700-800 more sites could be added.
