Inducted into service in the 80s, the flying machine, TS-598 which has flown nearly 2,000 hours, had completed its life span, they said.
The command headquarter has also put on display several other aircraft of the IAF at the entrance to its complex. These include the Hawker Hunter, Caribou, Iskra trainer aircraft and Mi-4 helicopter.
The officials said a few other aircraft including DHC-3 Otter and HAL-built HJT-16, better known as the Kiran aircraft, are in the pipeline for display.
