Khandu's assurance came when Commanding Officer of 11 Airmen Selection Centre of the Indian Air Force, Squadron Leader VPV Baliga called on him at his office here today, an official release informed.
While expressing gratitude to IAF on behalf of the people, Khandu requested recruitment of maximum number of youths of the state in the force.
The Indian Air Force would conduct two separate Air Men Recruitment Rallies at Itanagar on October 1 for the western zone and at Tezu on October 5 for eastern zone of the state.
While the one at Tezu would be for youths of Siang, Upper Siang, East Siang, Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley, Anjaw, Lohit, Namsai, Changlang, Tirap and Longding, he added.
He said that candidates who pass 10+2 in any discipline with 50 per cent aggregate and 50 per cent in English or Diploma and those who are in the age bracket of 16-21 years would be eligible to participate in the recruitment rally.
